ABOUT ME

Sixth generation Oregonian (born and raised) and now living in NYC, I've been writing since I first learned how to do so. I spent my elementary school years sketching clothing designs for my American Girl Dolls. In middle school, I was known as "the girl who wore weird outfits," and dutifully recorded my OOTD in my journal every day. I prided myself in high school for never once wearing the classic jean/t-shirt or tank top/legging combo.

I started this blog in February of 2014 as an homage to the stylish young woman I once was and to celebrate the stylish woman I've become. As a recent college graduate bound by her budget, I value the balance of savings and style, and love DIYs as a way of copping my favorite trends. I believe fashion is a valuable method of self-expression that should be available to everyone, regardless of income, race, gender, or age. I believe honesty is important when creating a brand, which is why I am outspoken about my experience with anxiety and depression.
